Jaime started taking piano lessons at the age of 8. By the time she was 10, she played the role of the sandman in the opera Hansel and Gretel at the Count Basie Theater. By the age of 15, Jaime had been the lead in numerous musicals such as Little Shop of Horrors, Annie Get Your Gun, The Wiz, Oliver, West Side Story, and Company. Jaime went on to study in New York City at Mannes Conservatory prep division where she received instruction in music theory, ear training, opera work shop, and chamber choir. Jaime was the soprano soloist for Mozart’s “Requiem,” Monteverdi’s “Magnificat,” and Benjamin Brittin’s “Ceremony of Carols.” She also spent a summer in Boston where she studied musical theater and opera and was the lead in Gershwin’s Blue Monday. Before entering college, Jaime received awards from the Monmouth Civic Chorus, and All Shore College. She attended Westminster Choir college and has a degree in vocal performance with a minor piano. Jaime has taught in many studios and has also worked in recording studios working with young recording artist. In addition to her 15 years of private piano and vocal lessons, Jaime has also been the musical director of Fiddler on the Roof, Once on this Island, and Grease for the Jewish Community Center.
